There are many factors to be taken into consideration when seeking to teach new vocabulary, grammar and their functions. From the age of the students, their previous english language knowledge, to their culture, these are just a few of the factors that will affect the way in which a teacher will approach teaching new vocabulary and grammar to his/her students. This unit was interesting because I never really thought of these factors in such detail as a native speaker, but reflecting on my own foreign language learning it is clear the appropriate planning can make or break the learning curve of students.
