In my opinion to teach the present tense is one of the hardest thing while teaching English since its quite confusing for the students to understand when are they talking about past, present, and future. The activities they suggest make the subject clearer and I think is even good exercise for ourselves as well since we use the sentences all the time without thinking all of the material we are using in order to form these sentences.
