This lesson defines the productive skills of speaking and writing. Both of these skills are equally important for the ELL student to acquire. This unit also gives examples of how these productive skills are taught and used in the classroom. Students usually have more opportunities in the TEFL classroom to speak than to write. However, good teachers are able to design learning activities that include both of these skills to be used and learned in the classroom.
