This unit covered teaching strategies and methods for vocabulary, grammar, and language functions. Vocabulary identified the receptive vocabulary and the productive vocabulary. Then compared the two with the receptive vocabulary normally being the largest. The unit further discussed using the Straight Arrow, Patchwork, and Boomerang structures of ESA when presenting instruction on language structure and functions.
