This unit dealt with potential problems teachers may come across in their teaching career. Some of the most common problems included students having different levels of language proficiency, in which case the teacher can pair weaker students with stronger students or use different materials and different tasks or the teacher can leave the student to avoid the knowledge gap from becoming bigger. Another problem that teachers could encounter is teaching large classes. This can be made easier if the teacher makes use of worksheets, pair work, choral repetition, and choosing group leaders. The use of native language is also a common problem which may occur in the classroom. The teacher can prevent this by constantly reminding students to speak English and to make sure that instructions are clear. This Unit provides the teacher with valuable insight in over coming the most common problems in the classroom.
