In this unit I learnt how to evaluate students progress by different kinds of tests. Placement tests are good as you will know the level of language of the student. It is important to give tests periodically to know students continual progress. If these tests are not given the teachers cannot tell if the student is learning and able to retain the information. Simple short tests, quiz are good fun and not too formal, as students often get anxiety if they hear the word test. I am well aware of Cambridge tests but in this unit I learnt about Trinity's ESOL skills for life are designed to meet the needs for those who life in the UK.
