I believe that the teaching methods shown within this unit, particularly those of ESA, have influenced current TEFL practices. Teaching nowadays is much more student-centered. The days of when the teachers used to rule the classrooms and where student are expected to just listen and speak up when spoken to are long gone. Most of the methods shown have lesser teacher talk time than most traditional forms of teaching. This unit is extremely instrumental in showcasing how to control and monitor a classroom. Student-centered activities and opportunities are becoming increasingly important over that of teacher-centered lessons.
