This unit helped to understand how important listening and reading are in the teaching process. Furthermore, the unit described how these skills vary in terms of receptiveness for the student and how these can be divided into specialist skills: predicting from information, scanning, skimming, detailing information and deducting from content. In my opinion it is very important to keep those in mind when preparing material and lesson plan as I would want to address the skills with appropriate tasks and questions.
