In this lesson, I learned about the various tenses. A few examples of the tenses are the Present Simple, Present Continuous, Present Perfect, and Present Perfect Continuous. In Present simple, we utilize the subject plus the base form of the verb. An example is “I eat.” In Present Simple Continuous, we utilize the subject plus the auxiliary verb ‘be’ plus an “ing” verb. An example would be “I am eating.” In Present Perfect, we use the subject, plus the auxiliary verb ‘have’ plus the past participle. An example of this would be “I am learning.” Regarding Present Perfect, we utilize the subject, auxiliary verb ‘have’ and the verb ‘been’ - plus the “ing” verb form. An example of this would be “I have been eating.” These forms have the affirmative form, which is the base form, a negative form, has the word not in it, and the question form, which puts the phrase into a question.
