Unit 2 had a lot of different grammar examples. Grammar is a part which even native English speaker can sometimes be unaware of. As a teacher, it's important to have good knowledge of the grammar though it's not excepted to be a walking grammar. I learned that there are different types of nouns. A noun names people, animals, places, things etc. There are countable and uncountable nouns. Countable nouns can be used in the plural and can be preceded by articles a/an/the. Uncountable nouns can't have a or an in front of them. Adjectives are words that describe nouns and things. Adjectives can be compared also by adding -er + than after the adjective. Superlative means for example who is the best, highest, tallest etc. Articles are in front of the nouns. There can be definite and indefinite articles. Indefinite articles are used when we don't know about the thing yet we are talking about (a/an). Definite article (the) is used when the thing is already familiar for us or mentioned before in the sentences. It's also used when the noun refers something that is unique. Verbs discribe what we are doing. Verb can be transitive or intransitive. Transitive verbs are verbs which are followed by an object while intransitive verbs can't be followed by an object. Verbs can be in different forms (base, past simple, past participle and present participle.) Some verbs have irregular forms and I think that the best way to learn them is simply read and memorize them. Later on the forms comes naturally while you are speaking as you have studied them well.
