I learned in this unit the difference between an effective lesson and a lesson with many errors. Another thing I learned, which I thought was another important point, is how the mannerisms and enthusiasm of the teacher effected student participation. When the teacher acted the way he did in the second lesson it was easy to see how much the students enjoyed the lesson and how willing they were to participate. The teacher started the class and the engage phase in a much happier way and continued with enthusiasm for the rest of the class. I also got to see how a straight arrow ESA lesson was done.
