In this unit I learned about the present tense. I learned about the affirmative, negative and question forms of this tense and how the different present tense forms is constructed and in what situations they are used. At the end of each form explanation it shows different teaching activities that can be done to help teach that point during the Activate teaching phase. Another helpful thing I learned was the common ways learners make mistakes with each different present tense form. An example of a common mistake I think would be forgetting to insert the auxiliary verb in a sentence. It’s a good thing to see possible errors so I as the teacher can come up with positive ways to help correct learners.
