This unit was interesting because I was able to learn some useful techniques in managing a classroom. It was helpful in considering not just the ages of my students, but their home backgrounds and their personalities as well. It's helpful to know how to manage a classroom when the teacher doesn't speak the same language as the students, and how to ensure that students are maximizing their talk-time without becoming unruly or letting the classroom dissolve into chaos.
