Past sentences are difficult because sometimes the entire word must change in order for it to be in the correct form and memorizing that vocabulary can prove to be difficult. Knowing the appropriate context in which to use each form I can see taking a significant about of time to master. Looking over this chapter I needed a refresher because some forms I don't use very often in my day to day vocabulary.
