This unit was related to the teaching of receptive skills which are reading and listening. I felt that through this lesson we got to see the clearest yet examples of the ESA lesson style which I am beginning to feel more comfortable with. This unit also offered great tips on how to preempt many of the common problems which come with these lessons. My favorite tips were the reminders to pre-teach difficult vocabulary (although students do not need to know every single word) and also to use non-authentic materials (most likely teacher-produced) to better suit the students' level and achieve the target of the lesson.
