In this unit, I was able to read about managing a classroom. I feel it was extremely useful to me due to the fact that my previous experience in the teaching field only consisted of tutoring, which has a different dynamic and different techniques. I was especially interested in how the different types of seating arrangements can affect the class atmosphere. The portions regarding establishing rapport and responding to problem behavior are definitely important and I will try to employ these techniques in the future.
