In this unit we will look at the types of material that we can use in the classroom, but first let us define what we mean by material.
Material is anything we bring with us to the classroom to aid our teaching.
Authentic materials are those materials that have been produced for a purpose
other than the classroom. This purpose doesn't have to be business related, for example, a magazine.
Non-authentic materials are those materials that have been produced, either by an
educational company or individual teachers for the specific purpose of being a teaching aid.
