In this chapter, I have learned the two types of materials that can be used to different level of students which are named authentic and non-authentic or created materials. Both types present advantages and disadvantages. Authentic materials offer students a real scenario that might appeal them and cause them to be more confident as they can relate to the real stories from the newspaper, magazines or TV News, while created materials is more focused and suitable to the learner as the teacher gauge the level and interest of the students as they produced these.
