This unit of work was by far the most complicated for me and I spent a lot of time reviewing the information. I have very little experience using the phonemic symbols, however I did enjoy experimenting with them and I feel that with practice I will gain confidence using them. The section on intonation was valuable, although this comes naturally in speech for a native speaker, I can see the value of teaching it in the classroom.
