In this unit we are being introduced to different methodologies and techniques to create interesting lessons for a range of contexts and situations. We learn the steps to apply a case study for a lesson. The model of frameworking is shown, and how this process of change is a great tool to teach a range of language and tenses. In the methodology of problem-based- learning the teacher acts as a facilitator through a series of stages, while students work in groups. Other productive and interesting ways to teach are using games or computer aided language learning. The speech act theory might help to overcome problems created by cross cultural mistakes and can be used when making offers or requests, negotiating and questioning.
