The primary reflection for me in this lesson was the need to analyze the specific needs not just of your students desires for learning, but also what myself as a native speaker and instructor, know would be vital to their success. For example, if they work in real estate, they know they need to be able to know terms related to housing and such. What they may not know, is how important it will be for them to have an understanding of verb tense and the difference between telling a customer "the building HAS air conditioning" and "the building WILL HAVE air conditioning", simple tense changes that completely alter the sentence. It's also important for the teacher to know the proper way to outline and illustrate to this students, also ensuring that they will retain the information for longer than just the lesson period.
