The two video lessons show first and foremost how a teacher's attitude can influence students' learning. Generally, in the first video, the teacher seemed "in a rush" and the nature of the class seemed very teacher-centered, to the extent that the students adapted to the nature of it. The way the students adapted to the class in the first lesson is by feeling quite nervous and perhaps confused, per the expressions on their faces. However, in the second video, the teacher created a more friendly, relaxed environment right from the start. He started with an engaging activity that students were comfortable with, that is "names/introduction." This activity sort of prepared the students mentally, as they went into the study phase. This was clearly an effective way of teaching.
