This lesson focused on the many materials teachers can use with students in the classroom. Although they are all technically optional, each has the potential to greatly enhance the quality of learning. There is also a shift happening in terms of which materials are used: While overhead projectors and cassette tapes were once essential for language classes, we now have interactive whiteboards and computer programs to serve these functions for us.
