I have learnt the reasons and motives for receptive skills in this unit. Receptive skills teaching could be based on purpose or entertainment. The important part of the unit was "How we read and listen" one. Predictive, scanning, skimming, detailed information and deduction from contexts are the areas that our understanding depend on. According the each area,teaching techniques and approaches may vary. I also have seen what kind of problems i may encounter throughout teaching language.
