Here Below you can check out the feedback (for one of our units) of one of the 16.000 students that last year took an online course with ITTT!

Unit four covered the topic of course materials. It began by teaching the difference between authentic and non-authentic materials. In this section, I learned about how items like faxes, emails, memos, business reports, and magazines are useful authentic materials. I also learned that it is beneficial to use visual and audio aides, and that authentic materials can be more interesting for business students because they are real world examples of business English. Next the unit taught me the four important questions to consider before creating my own material; what language is it studying, how is it to be used in the class, how will it be demonstrated, and what level is it covering. After answering these questions, the unit covered the topic of lesson plans. Here I reviewed how to create a lesson plan, what should be on a lesson plan, and why lesson plans are important. I found it very helpful to be given a sample lesson plan for business English. I used the demonstration lesson to guide the creation of my own task sheet plan, so I think it was very useful. After lesson plans, I learned about the two types of resources typically used for teaching business English: ones with a primary focus on language, and ones with a primary focus on business situations. Since business English is still gaining popularity in the teaching realm, a teacher must practice with both and design future plans and lessons around which is more successful for that teacher. As book resources are still scarce, this unit encourages the use of internet resources where possible. It reminded me to consider country copyright laws when deciding what resources I want to use, as not all countries have the same laws. The unit concluded by providing me with a list of helpful websites to resources and activities useful for business English teaching.
