This unit covered course book and lessons. In this unit I learned all about course books and lesson materials, specifically advantages and disadvantages. Advantages for course books entails materials suited for classes, provide security for students and teachers, balance of mixed grammar etc. Some disadvantages of course books are that they do not always meet individual student needs, it can make the teacher lazy, and it also may be outdated and not unattractive. I also learned some great uses for course books, such as for groups, matching needs for students, and not basing lessons around the textbook. In addition, I’m excited about creating materials, as pertaining to my classroom.
