This Unit discussed a range of teaching themes and gave great detail of six different areas which can be used during a Business English lesson; case studies, frameworking, games, problem-based learning, computer aided language earning and speech act theory. The information given on using case studies during the lesson was particularly helpful. I found the structure easy to understand and implement using the 8- step techniques. The adaption of well-known games such as Monopoly and Hangman to engage the students at the beginning of the lesson would be a natural ice-breaker and enjoyable for both teacher and students. However, I really valued the sample lesson plans at the end of the Unit which were both thorough and informative.
