This was a good unit. While I have come across and used the tenses presented in this unit before, I had never realized there were so many of them. This unit really helped me to systematize my knowledge of the different tenses that can be used to talk about the future and has brought up certain distinctions that I was aware of subconsciously, but would have otherwise struggled to explain to students if asked for the difference in use between the future simple tense and the going to tense. This unit has been effective in highlighting the differences between the two tenses, such as: predictions based on present evidence and predictions made on no present evidence, intentions and promises, and plans and spontaneous decisions.
