Particularly in light of technological advances there is a great range of equipment that can, when used appropriately, provide very effective written, audio and visual teaching aids that help in a variety of ways. The use of black/white/interactive boards and OHP ensures that students see and when required, copy down important information accurately. Prior to giving students individual study material or exercises it can be very helpful to perform example exercises on the board first to ensure everyone understands.
Other equipment that are of particular use when learning languages are any devices that play and/or record audio and video footage which helps students learn how things should sound and help them identify and correct their own mistakes.
