Unit 1 consists of the basics e.g. the roles a teacher must fill, what qualities a good teacher and good student should have, age difference of learners, and levels of ability. From this unit I learned what to expect from the different age groups of learners and the qualities a good student possesses. With this in mind I can now observe students from a different perspective which will allow me to find more effective ways to help them overcome obstacles in their learning journey.
