The unit gave an introduction to many characteristics of a good teacher, explaining the different roles and interactions needed for the students to have a successful and motivated learning experience. It also covered the characteristics of students who are good learners and the reasons why they might be participating in a class to learn english. There was an overview of the different levels of understanding and achievement at different stages and ages of the students.
