No class is perfect. And teaching a class for the first time will always be tough. But to help make it go smoother there are many good ideas in this unit. The first and most important thing is to start with a positive impression. Building rapport with students, using warmers and learning the needs of the students will help both teacher and students create a good classroom environment. There will be issues such as class size, using native tongue instead of English and some behavioral issues but if the teacher is prepared, has guidelines and tries to keep the class entertaining and fair, students will follow and enjoy the lesson.
