This unit was relatively easy, as I had already acquainted myself with the basics of English grammar for teaching purposes. Nevertheless, I consider it is always useful for me to review the grammar of perfect tenses, because English is one of three languages that I know and sometimes I do worry I may start getting too much interference between the different languages. Such explicit knowledge of different tenses also gives one an idea of what tenses are best suited to which tasks to make their use as natural during the lesson as possible. Miming games are great for practicing the present progressive, while fairly good results can be obtained with a controlled game of "have you ever...", or variants of it, to practice the present perfect.
