In this unit I learned that there are many different teaching aids available to teachers in classrooms today. For instance, I learned that there are now these interactive white boards (which I myself did not have as a student in any grade) that teachers can use as a sort of computerized white board. These boards can be used as regular white boards or they can be used as screens to show a movie or a lesson plan on. I also learned that different teaching aids can be used most effectively at different times. For instance, it may be useful for students to use video to record themselves during an activity or as a homework assignment. Furthermore, I learned that the use of computers can be helpful but that it, as with the use of videos, should be used sparingly as it disrupts communication between the students and the teacher.
