This unit provided great practice for making lesson plans. This unit had very little information and was more focused on myself (a learner) brainstorming how to plan lessons around 1) the present perfect tense and 2) the use of might and may... it made me consider the objectives of the teacher, the learners, and how to create different phases for the respective lessons with appropriate timing for each phase. It felt like I was going to actually teach a class after and so it was effective in immersing me in the realities of lesson planning. More than anything, this unit made me realize how difficult it can be to effectively teach grammar; I was struggling to imagine myself keep students engaged on the nuances of might and may, for example, and it required some creativity to make appropriate engage, study and activate phases of the lessons but I learned a lot in thinking about these difficulties
