Classroom management comprises both the physical management of the space and facilities available, and the control and management of the actions and interactions of the students with each other, and with the teacher. It is advisable to try and maximise student talk time in class which can be done by using an appropriate classroom set up to facilitate student to student talk, and by the teacher endeavouring to use methods such as gestures, eye contact and the use of short, clear, simple instruction to minimise the need for too much teacher talk time. That said teacher talk time is also important , especially with students who have limited exposure to English (particularly language at their level) outside of class.
