This unit covered conditional sentences and direct and reported speech in grammar.It explained the five conditionals that are the most taught in the English language.It explained each conditional,its form, and its usage and gave teaching ideas. The video broke each conditional down and gave additional information about each. The part of the unit on reported and direct speech gave examples of using direct speech and changing the sentences to reported speech. It gave a chart on how to change the tenses of direct speech to reported speech which is very helpful.It also gave teaching ideas.The use (changes) of the tenses are something that needs to be remembered.The unit also told us that when we report what has been said,the time expression needs to change;present tense to past tense and 'this"becomes "that";referred to as backshifting.This unit was very detailed especially with the video and so helpful.
