The verb tenses of English can be separated into 12 different tenses, present simple, present continuous, present perfect, and present perfect continuous being the four aspects of the present verb tense. Present perfect is used to imply a routine, situation, facts, etc. The affirmative form used in the form of (subject + base). Present Continuous forms imply actions in progress at the time of speaking, frequent actions, and developing situations, etc. used in the affirmative form as (subject + aux. verb "be" + verb(-ing)). The present perfect tense tells us finished actions at an indefinite time period, or general experiences, using t the auxiliary verb "have" and the past participle form of a verb. ( Subject + aux. verb "have" + P.P) Lastly, the present perfect continuous tense is used to express activities that are likely to continue in the future, and/or activities that were in progress for a certain length of time. The affirmative form of this tense is commonly used as (subject + aux. verb "have" + been + verb(-ing))
