This unit covered coursebooks and lesson materials. There are two types of material, the first is authentic materials and the second is created material. Some examples of authentic materials are a newspaper, songs, poems, menus, films and et cetera. For created materials, there are puzzles, role cards, flash cards and so on. There are also some advantages and disadvantages of each type. As a teacher, I need to find a balance of using these two types of materials to engage the students' interest, deliver the materials and seeing the students progression throughout the course.
