There are several pieces of useful equipment for teachers outlined in this unit. Of course, the white board is the most common and well-known. When using a white board, it is always good to come into the class with a thought-out plan for how you will use it. It might even be good to practice on a sheet of paper first. You want to be able to maximize the space and use underlining and maybe different colors to draw attention to your work. Research shows that writing in capital letters on a white board is not effective because the capital letters are harder to read.
