Text Books and materials have always had a relevant importance to me. I mean, i spent my whole life studying english from books that were not suitable to ourselves, the students. So, yes, chosing a book is important for a teacher. Of course, i think that the teacher must be good at stepping away from the book when it's needed, and be able to use all other materials that might be applicable to the lesson he's doing to kids.
