Unit #19 discussed some of the special groups an English teacher may have, including business people, monolingual groups, children, and individuals. Through this lesson, I learned how to assess the specific needs of business people in order to teach them effectively. I was also reminded of the importance of not using my students' native language in the classroom. If I use it, my students will not see the need to speak English and will therefore make less of an effort to do so.
