I was really struck how much influence the teacher's attitude had on the class. The actual lesson plan was not that much different between video 1 and 2 but the participation and enjoyment of the students was very dramatic. In lesson one the students were frightened and confused. In lesson two they really seemed to grasp the material and were happily participating. It was also nice to see how much more talking was involved when there was a group activity instead of one on one. There was much more opportunity for the students to speak in lesson two. It made me very excited to start teaching.
