Here Below you can check out the feedback (for one of our units) of one of the 16.000 students that last year took an online course with ITTT!

In this unit, teaching techniques were explained and discussed throughly. Different teaching styles were presented to show how to enable students on a variety of skill levels. Besides techniques, theories and methods were explained as well, expressing how different ways of teaching can effect students. I learned the TEFL highly recommends using ESA or Engage, Study and Activate as an acceptable teaching method especially whike creating lesson planning. With ESA, first the teacher must engage the students on a specific topic by asking them questions and getting them involved in the lesson. After the class studies the lesson, the teacher provides as much information as possible, while also answering questions and giving feedback if necessary. Lastly, the student a participant in an activity that expands on the lesson, preferably a role playing game or open discussion. In addition, ESA format can be played with, however it must always start with an engaging topic and end with an activity. The course discussed a variety of ideas to use for the engaging, study and activation phases. I learned of role-play and word searches are great techniques to use. Lastly, the unit went over how to give feedback and corrections without discouraging the students. I now know the difference between an error and a mistake. While a mistake is often unintentionally, an error is repeated.
