The first video in which an ineffective teaching session was depicted was kind of painful to watch. You could tell that the students were disinterested however it seemed to me that they were actually confused and reluctant to participate, fearing that they will make a mistake. During the second video I was able to witness that even a few minor adjustments can make a huge difference regarding students' attitudes in the classroom. It reminded me that a 40 minute teaching session especially in a room filled with students is not that hard to make interesting. There are many avenues and approaches that can prove helpful as well as a lot of different possibilities because you are working with a diverse group of students with different interests and backgrounds and there could be many students that can have positive impact on other students with their eagerness to learn or their sense of humor. So it is definitely the teachers job to bring the best out of every student and make the classroom feel like a safe, fun, relaxed environment while maintaining the discipline.
