In this unit, I learned how lesson planning can be used as a guideline to organize a class. It does not need to be a strict script to follow, but a lesson plan is a good way to stay organized and meet objectives. I had not considered how planning lessons could serve as a record of what has been taught previously and also to record any past issues with learning. Lesson plans therefore also serve as helpful tools of reflection when conceiving of new, future classroom experiences.
