This unit discussed conditionals. Conditionals contain an "if" clause that contains the condition that has to be satisfied before the action in the main clause can be realized. The different conditionals are the zero conditional, the first conditional, the second conditional, the third conditional, and the mixed conditional. There is also a difference between reported speech and direct speech. Direct speech is speech that someone is actually saying about themselves or events. Reported speech is specific to when someone is reporting what someone else did or said. Direct speech tenses can change when converted to reported speech. There is a list that must be memorized concerning these changes.
