Present simple is used when talking about habitual or routine actions,permanent situations or facts,commentaries,directions and instructions,newspaper headlines,present stories, historical sequence.
Present continuous is used when talking aboutan action that is in progress at the time of speaking, a temporary action that is not necessarily in progress at the time of speaking, emphasizing very frequent actions,talking aobut the background events in present story,describing developing situations, refering to a regular action around a point of time.
Present perfect: when we talk about finished actions/states at an indefinite time; when we are thinking about completed actions carried out in an unfinished time period at the time of speaking; When we talk about something began in the past and is still true now, but we don't know whether it is likely to continue or not; When we describe past actions with present results.
Present perfect continuous: it is used when we want to communicate an incomplete and ongoing activity, and how long it has continued and when we want to describe a recently finished,uninterrupted activity which has a present result.
