Unit eleven helped me understand how to best teach the receptive language skills of reading and listening. It emphasized that there are various ways of reading and it reviewed methods to overcome common student problems with listening and reading. There was an excellent outline of a receptive skills lesson plan as well. This unit provided teaching activities that are ideally suited to teaching reading and listening.
