This unit focused on the characteristics of good teachers and learners. In addition it reviewed age and cultural aspects that may affect learning. A review of the different levels of language acquisition was also discussed. I learned examples of how various teaching roles affected the learner and that the teacher must selectively assess and be ready to change roles as needed for the benefit of individual students and the class as a whole. It was helpful to have a framework to assess levels of language learning in order to tailor teaching methodology for the highest impact.
